Hello:
This is the first time I've done a blog. This blog should be about my quilts and purses.
I've been sewing forever. I started quilting in the very early '70's when I got a McCalls book on quilts and I was hooked. I made a Sunbonnet Sue for my daughter who was then about 2. I had no idea what I was doing. It was all hand pieced and quilted. I still have it somewhere.
I then made what I called a racecar quilt. It had pictures of local cars that I traced and colored with crayons. I used white back ground for the blocks with black sashing and corners. I hand quilted it with flags and car outlines. My son still has that one after all these years.
Through the years i've made many quilts. I've given away some and have many because my husband won't let me give a lot of them away.
Today I'm going to start the Quiltville mystery quilt. Yesterday I put the last border on the Weedwacker which is one of the Quiltville patterns. I've done several of the quilts on that site and they all are great to do and use up a lot of leftover fabric.
